Robert Stimson

Bob Stimson is an international executive, engineer and experienced geographer with a far reaching understanding of China, India, East, Southeast and South Asia. Connecting industrial companies with the greater region’s vast possibilities, creative output, financial and other resources, has been the focus of his professional life. He has built Asia-Pacific regional and national-level businesses and managed direct investments for multinational OEM’s and capital intensive, middle-market manufacturers, generating current earnings and dramatically enhancing their strategic postures.

His education was at Thunderbird School of Global Management (East Asian Studies), Arizona State University (MBA) and General Motors Institute (now Kettering University; Mechanical Engineering) where he was sponsored by Chevrolet. His personal academic work has been in Physical, Cultural and Human Geography and the Chinese language. A decorated, former U.S. Marine Corps officer (Major) he commanded infantry units with the Fleet Marine Force. He was a military logistics advisor in Southeast Asia and a special operations officer with the Defense Attaché Office, U.S. Embassy to Viet Nam.
